In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore what wellbeing and self-care truly mean to you and how they shape your life. Together, we’ll dive into the different dimensions of wellbeing, engage in activities to assess your current state across these areas, and uncover a deeper understanding of your personal needs.

You’ll gain practical strategies to make meaningful changes and learn how to integrate them into your daily life. By the end of the session, you’ll have started building your own personalised wellbeing toolkit—equipping you to grow stronger, more balanced, and more resilient in both business and life.

From Balance to Harmony: A New Perspective on Work-Life Balance

This workshop explores fresh perspectives on work-life balance, challenging the traditional “equal time” approach. Instead, we’ll focus on finding what works for you by integrating three key concepts; Work-Life Balance, Work-Life Rhythm, and Work-Life Fulfilment.

You’ll learn to recognise signs of imbalance, understand how to use the seasons to support your wellbeing, explore the five domains of life which will help you to develop personalized strategies to create harmony. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have actionable insights and tools to navigate the seasons of life and create harmony between your personal and professional worlds

  • February – Friday 28th @ 12pm – 2pm

Building Better Boundaries: A Workshop for Work and Life

This workshop delves into the vital role boundaries play in cultivating healthier relationships and a more harmonised life. Together, we’ll explore what boundaries are, why they matter, and how to identify where they’re needed. You’ll learn about the different types of boundaries—emotional, physical, mental, and beyond—and how to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy ones.

Through practical exercises and discussions, we’ll guide you in identifying your own boundaries, developing the skills to set them with confidence, and handling responses with clarity and resilience. With real-life examples and actionable tips, this workshop is an introduction to you creating and maintaining boundaries that protect your well-being while fostering meaningful connections in work and life.

Coaching for Wellbeing

What is Coaching for Wellbeing?

Coaching is a personalised, one-on-one process where a professional coach helps you explore, identify and achieve your personal and/or professional goals. During your free one-hour long session, you can focus on any area of your life, whether it’s career, improving work-life balance, enhancing relationships, or personal development. Sessions are completely led by you and what you want to discuss.

Coaching can help you better understand yourself, your relationships with other people and the way you act in the world. Compared to counselling, coaching is more goal focused and is therefore generally more orientated towards the future than the past, therefore your coach will support you in identifying goals and making plans for realising them.

Just as each person’s interests and values differ, so does their idea of wellbeing and how they manage this. Our coaches can help you to:

-Better understand yourself and your needs
-Explore your life and the possibilities that are open to you
-Identify your untapped resources and your potential
-Choose which courses of action makes most sense to you and start to implement desired changes in your life

Together you can work on exploring how to manage your self-care and wellbeing (and what this might look like to you), provide support and accountability in creating a routine that works for you, helping you to focus on what you need when life can feel overwhelming. You may also assess different areas of your life to review where you’re at, where you would like to be, and what sustainable changes you can implement to support you.

Start & Grow York is a fully funded programme. This project is funded by the UK government.
