As a participant in the Momentic self-employment programme, I have verbally committed to adhering to the following expectations from myself:

 

  • Attend all one-on-one (1-2-1) and group meetings promptly.
  • Arrive at meetings prepared to exclusively focus on advancing your business ideas.
  • If unable to attend an appointment, notify your business adviser 24 hours in advance.
  • Maintain a respectful demeanour towards advisers and peers, ensuring courteous behaviour.
  • Inform your business adviser of any circumstances you believe or know of that may impact your ability to work with Momentic or to deliver the products and services to potential customers
  • Fulfil all actions outlined in your agreed-upon action plan by the specified deadlines to stay on track.
  • Provide feedback at different stages of the journey.
  • Attend Job Centre Plus (JCP) and Restart appointments as requested, alongside Momentic activities.
  • Inform your Business adviser once you have registered for your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) and provide evidence.
  • Notify Momentic when a gateway meeting (with JCP) is booked and keep us updated on its outcome.
  • Provide evidence of the JCP self-employment meeting outcome through journal screenshots or a copy of the letter.
  • During the 6-month support while trading, you are required to update your Universal Credit (UC) journal with monthly income and expenditure and inform Momentic upon completion via screenshots.
Expectations from us:

 

  • Momentic are contracted to deliver a fully funded business support programme to support people to start their own business, from consideration/viability to trading and sustainment. We work in partnership with your Restart provider.
  • Our services will be delivered 1-2-1 (both Virtual and Face to Face when possible) and in Workshops or a combination of these.
  • Personalised 1-2-1 discussions including a diagnostic to identify key areas of support required.
  • Personalised action planning that will outline strategies to support your business.
  • Access to workshops that align with your needs.
  • Support in creating a bespoke business plan and financial forecast for your business.
  • We will support you to prepare for your self-employment ‘gateway’ appointment with JCP.
  • Continued 6-months of in-work support following the commencement of trading.

I understand failure to attend appointments, insufficient progress in my business, or not meeting the outlined expectations may prompt Momentic to assess my suitability for the Momentic service.
