I’ve really enjoyed the session. I’ve shocked myself as I’m usually quiet but I’ve thrown myself into it. Everyone has made me feel really comfortable and welcome which is really good.  I think its made me think about things differently. I can get tunnel vision when I’m at work at the time and you talk to the same people, its been really helpful to hear different opinions and other people’s thoughts and input. I’ve really enjoyed this first session!

Amy

This has been really good. Just what I need right now. It can feel a lonely old place when you’re on your own and it’s been really nice. I think everyone is so lovely and we’re all in it together which is nice. On the whole, this is a great thing. I’ve take away a growth model and I’m going to really focus on outlining my ideal client and reviewing my vision and mission.

Veronica

Everyone has been really interactive and engaging. Everyone has spoken and given really good pointers, shared a lot, it’s been really, really good!

Helen Bower, Stained Glass Design & Crafts

“Being part of the Peer-to-Peer programme and receiving One-to-One coaching with Anne Kennedy was transformative. Anne’s guidance helped me focus and gain confidence in my business. The structured approach of the sessions enabled me to see the importance of working on my business, not just in it. The peer sessions provided valuable networking opportunities, and I appreciated the clarity and practical advice Anne provided.”

Paul Cooper, Bailey Cooper Photographers

“The Peer Network helped me stay accountable, and Anne was excellent at challenging us with the tough questions we needed to answer.

Fay Andrews-Hodgson, Insight Space

“The support was invaluable, especially when I pivoted my business model mid-programme. While my original business hasn’t grown, the sessions helped me develop my vision and strategy for a new social enterprise.

The Peer Networks facilitated numerous successes, including:

  • Cross-industry collaborations: A holiday letting agency contracted a social media participant for digital marketing services.
  • New Business Contracts: A social media marketing firm secured a contract with Momentic for social media profile reviews, receiving outstanding feedback.
  • Business Diversification: Expansion from holiday lettings to long-term rentals.
  • Strategic Acquisitions: A Virtual Assistant transitioned to co-owning the York Hat Shop through partnership funding.
  • Major Contract Wins: A new £48,000 contract secured for training independent photographers for charity-sector commercial shoots.
  • Business Pivoting: Transition from coaching services to establishing a York-based well-being centre.
  • Market Expansion: Online tutoring services extended into the China market.
  • New Service Development: Introduction of York Photography Walks alongside commercial photography services.

“The facilitator had a very personable, engaging, friendly and inclusive approach to the sessions. They encouraged group participation and welcomes the quieter members of the group to engage in the conversation”

“I have attended many peer group meetings hosted by the facilitator. The quality of the facilitation, training materials and associated information were excellent”

“Being an SME, it opened my eyes that all are having similar issues, independently of the size of their organisation. Also it gave the opportunity to learn insights by hearing from different perspectives”
